REMEMBER, IT'S JUST A CONVERSATION!

The shows on Wise Women Media Radio are in depth profiles and stories that show us that women of a certain age are dynamic forces, empowered spirits and tenacious voices for creating the change we need to see in the world. We cover everything the way our Mothers and Grandmothers would; Environment, Sustainable Living, Art of all genres, Food Storage, Gardening, Crafting, once in a while Political Issues with Special Guests. These women will inspire you! There is no other radio format like this!

We are in Florida so sometimes inclement weather will not permit us to do the show if we lose internet access or power.

Please post here if you have feedback, would like to be on the show, want us to focus on a topic or if you have ideas for future guests.

***We do not promote any specific political party or candidates for any office including presidential. We are more likely to interview female 3rd Party candidates who do not get a lot of airtime through other media outlets.

***The rule we honor is the Golden Rule: we treat others as they would like to be treated both on air and off.

This week's special guest is Karen Mayer Hopkins. She is originally from Grande Isle, Louisiana and because technically she is an environmental refugee, she now makes her new home in Florida. From working within the Fishing Industry herself and with a partner who is a fisherman, she was one of the first VERY VOCAL voices in the southern part of Louisiana who sounded the alarms of the ongoing ramifications of the Gulf Oil Gusher. She has a lot to say about what happened in the Gulf on 4/20/10 and the ongoing aftermath in regards to business, fishing, health, media, activism and so much more.

Wise Women Media for 3/19/12 -- Anita and Gwen do a MIC-CHECK! The Occupy Movement's 6th Month Anniversary and Other News!

Join Anita and Gwen on Monday, March 19th, 2012 at 8PM EST for our updates on the OCCUPY MOVEMENT from across the country. This past weekend was the 6th month anniversary of the Movement and there were direct actions planned in many places and some violence and arrests resulted.

Please feel free to join us in the chatroom with any questions or give us a call to talk to us live and on the radio. If you are at an encampment, give us a ring to give us a live update from where you are.
