The shows on Wise Women Media Radio are in depth profiles and stories that show us that women of a certain age are dynamic forces, empowered spirits and tenacious voices for creating the change we need to see in the world. We cover everything the way our Mothers and Grandmothers would; Environment, Sustainable Living, Art of all genres, Food Storage, Gardening, Crafting, once in a while Political Issues with Special Guests. These women will inspire you! There is no other radio format like this!

We are in Florida so sometimes inclement weather will not permit us to do the show if we lose internet access or power.

***We do not promote any specific political party or candidates for any office including presidential. We are more likely to interview female 3rd Party candidates who do not get a lot of airtime through other media outlets.

Tonight's Special Guest is Karen Dwyer of Naples, Florida who has been spearheading the halt on FRACKING near residential homes that are contiguous to some of the most environmentally sensitive areas of Florida and indeed, THE WORLD--the Everglades with it’s various pristine watersheds and aquifers and the last Wild Florida Panther Refuge. The fight is on as ordinary citizens continue to combat BIG OIL companies for a small amount of crude in the Sunniland Trend and all in the name of greed.

Karen’s Bio: Dr. Karen Dwyer holds three degrees from the University of Notre Dame and is a teacher by profession, writer by compulsion, activist by conscience. She has been closely involved in the Fair Food Program, human rights work, and climate justice.  Her group, the Stone Crab Alliance was formed in the 1970s when it helped stop a nuclear power plant from being built in Bonita Springs; currently the group is working to stop the expansion of extreme oil drilling in Naples, Florida.
