WISE WOMEN MEDIA

WISE WOMEN MEDIA

COMPLETE SHOW DESCRIPTION

REMEMBER, IT'S JUST A CONVERSATION!

The shows on Wise Women Media Radio are in depth profiles and stories that show us that women of a certain age are dynamic forces, empowered spirits and tenacious voices for creating the change we need to see in the world. We cover everything the way our Mothers and Grandmothers would; Environment, Sustainable Living, Art of all genres, Food Storage, Gardening, Crafting, once in a while Political Issues with Special Guests. These women will inspire you! There is no other radio format like this!

We are in Florida so sometimes inclement weather will not permit us to do the show if we lose internet access or power.

Please post here if you have feedback, would like to be on the show, want us to focus on a topic or if you have ideas for future guests.

***We do not promote any specific political party or candidates for any office including presidential. We are more likely to interview female 3rd Party candidates who do not get a lot of airtime through other media outlets.

***The rule we honor is the Golden Rule: we treat others as they would like to be treated both on air and off.

WISE WOMEN MEDIA for July 18th, 2014--Environmentalist, Activist, Author and Politico, Deevon Quirolo

WE BROADCAST ON FRIDAY, JULY 18TH, 2014 AT 10PM EDT.

This is a pre-recorded show so there will be no live call ins for tonight. If there are any questions, please go to the NEIGHBORS AGAINST MINING site linked below and contact Deevon through the site.
Joining us tonight for a special show is Environmentalist, Activist, Author, and Politico, Deevon Quirolo a long time fighter for Florida's Environment and just, safe Environmental Policy.
Our topic tonight will focus on the Mining happening in Hernando County, Florida's Nature Coast.
Citizens have banned together to fight against a proposed new Cemex location that will affect Hernando County’s Eco-tourism efforts and overall environment to include: trees, wildlands, air and water quality and protected species. The site once operational will cause traffic tie-ups, citizen’s property values to go down, affect citizen’s health and even affect a landmark of historical significance, a Veteran’s Cemetery.

Stats show that Hernando County currently has 22 mines, we do not need more. And Hernando County is the sickest county in Florida. Little or no jobs are provided to local citizens with the addition of another mine in this county. See more at NEIGHBORS AGAINST MINING
